I think it’s important that everyone can do anything they dream. I myself love skateboarding and love practising in my back garden, but that is my back garden. Bridges Urban Sports Park is a skatepark near town. Lots of people go there, but it doesn’t seem that safe. It’s quite a dodgy area because it’s kind of deserted, and in an unsafe part of town. There is a bowl, in the skatepark, where kids go up and down on their scooters, but the main section of the skatepark is packed with adults. There isn’t much space to go skating your own way, because there is so many people. I think it would be a good idea to build a skatepark in Ormeau Park or somewhere in Botanic Gardens. There is lots of greenery that can hold many skateparks. I’m very passionate about skating, but I want to be safe and know I am safe. I want everyone to enjoy themselves, including kids. I think it is important to have a hobby you enjoy doing, when you are a child. It motivates you to keep trying and having fun. I think it is very important to have another local skatepark in South Belfast, so everyone can enjoy, and will be more safe for children.
