The residents of Great Denham, Biddenham, Bromham and Borough wide, petition the Council to support residents and members who live, play, walk and generally enjoy the open green space offered by the Great Denham Golf Course to resist and  block the proposed closure of the course on 16th October 2020. Furthermore to enforce and enhance existing Local Plan policies that protect and shield against residential development on these Urban Open Spaces and Urban Gaps. To also block actions by landowners to close down sporting facilities contrary to Policy 99 of the Local Plan (2030) and Sport England  policy. Council should be astute enough to recognise when manipulation of a site towards residential development is taking place. It cannot stand aloof and wait for plans to be submitted, it must accept intelligence from its communities, or it is not representative.
