You ask any parent at Mount Olive Elementary School what they love about their child's school and they will tell you: the teachers! Our students are blessed with some of the most amazing, loving, caring, and dedicated teachers in Knox County. A teacher once said, "You will love our school. We are a family; we not only teach, but we take care of our kids".  This was said three years ago, before the administrators downtown made the decision to transfer an assistant high school principal to our loving elementary school.  A move that would forever change the lives of the teachers, the children, and the families at Mount Olive Elementary School.  Teachers were shuffled from one grade level to the next.  Teachers were being "targeted", leaving their jobs and future up in the air. Teacher contracts were not being renewed, and teachers were being placed on administrative leave, some even retiring early due to the hostile leadership.  We have lost a number of great teachers due to the current Principal at Mount Olive Elementary School.  Many parents complained to the board last year about the Principal, yet nothing was accomplished.  How many great teachers do we have to lose before someone steps up and makes a leadership change?  Our parents are unhappy, and our children are suffering while our teachers are being bullied. We stand together as parents and as a community in asking for the immediate removal of the Principal at Mount Olive Elementary School. Our children can not afford to lose any more great teachers due to the hostile leadership at our school.  Bring our school back to what it once was:  "The best kept secret in Knoxville".
