Beaverton School District: Extend Lunch Time by 10 Minutes and Bring Back Snack.

The Issue

In school, only a limited amount of time is dedicated to lunch/recess. 15 minutes is for eating, 15 minutes for recess. I don't believe this is enough time, especially considering that during those 15 minutes to eat, you are supposed to get to the cafeteria, get in the line, and grab your food. I often feel rushed to eat, and often don't finish my whole meal. It doesn't help that BSD has taken away snack privileges this year for middle schools.

Now I am not asking for much; just for a mere 2 minutes from each class to be taken away and put toward lunchtime. At least at my school, we have 5 classes per day, so that's another 10 minutes! Another 5 for eating, and 5 for recess! That puts 20 minutes for each category, which would be a huge help.
