The QBCC Home Warranty Insurance is not a fair process; it’s a test for survival.

It appears that the standpoint is that homeowners have to accept paying a donation to the Queensland Building and Construction Commission - QBCC under the disguise of the “home warranty insurance” & even though when the QBCC licensee doesn’t comply with the mandated legislation, building & construction codes and manufacturing installation requirements.  It’s clear the QBCC expects that we as homeowners have to not only pay for the licensee’s/trades defective works, but we accept it & then roll the dice again to see if we can get another QBCC Licensee to actually do the work correctly.

1 - If the QBCC is so vindicated with the quality & service delivery provided by their licensee’s; why don’t they back it with a complete financial support.

2 - If the homeowner has to go to such lengths to prove the QBCC & their licensee are producing defective works; let the financial reimbursement for the expert reports be at the cost of the QBCC.

3 - Homeowners are being deliberately deceived by builders & the state regulator with false narratives, interpretations of their version of mandated legislation & unauthorised & illegal discretionary decisions.

4 - There are builder’s or trade’s that clearly have no moral compass & the failing regulator enables their licensee’s through negligence in performing their core responsibilities to the mandated building requirements to Australian standards.

This now only leaves the question of;

If we are going to accept this type of work; why do we need the QBCC or their licensing system?
