

ALL HOMEOWNERS BE AWARE…. Sections 67WA Clearly states that Incomplete and Defective works are SEPARATE & are not inclusive together. They will try & say incomplete works with defects!
Also be aware of Section 59. DON’T let the QBCC tell you to get to Practical Completion then report the defects; you have 90 days from knowing of the defects to report it. The QBCC will be strict with the homeowners time frames; but the licensee & QBCC take as long as they want. Extensions are approved over & over again!
The QBCC don’t do invasive investigations; so if the defect is covered up, they won’t remove the tin, plasterboard, cladding, roof etc to expose the defective works.
So once the defective works are noticed; STOP, REPORT & have the defects fixed before continuing!
