On 25 August 2025 I met for the first time with the QBCC Commissioner Angelo Lambrinos.  He had just reach his milestone of being approximately 100 days in the challenging job of the his new as the QBCC CEO and Commissioner.  At this meeting one of the issues I raised was a persons rights to their own information and what I saw as a flaw in the current technical system of the QBCC when a person makes a application, complaints, claims etc.

I was away for a month but again I have had the opportunity to meet with Angelo yesterday to continue our discussions. I am happy to report that the topic of 'a persons right to their own information' has been addressed and the QBCC Commissioner applying an interim solution until a more permanent one can be finalised. A person can request their own information from the QBCC without having to apply to the RTI - Right to Information.

QBCC Commissioner provided a blanket instruction internally to his staff that this practice will be in place until a more permanent and efficient practice can be installed.  In requesting your documents if a QBCC staff member denies this request; respectfully advise them of the change and check with their supervisor for validity of your request.

Discussions are still continuing to provide positive change within the QBCC and as a member of the QBCC Commissioners Roundtable Forum we all are focused on QBCC Reform to help Queenslanders.  Legislative change is definitely a number one key issue that is being addressed to bring the QBCC Act 1991 up to date with the current environmental, financial, social and industrial sphere.

Keep sharing this petition and lets make all Queenslanders aware of QBCC Reform!
