The Australian newspaper reports how Tilson and Sons Building and Construction, their Director and QBCC licenced builder has taken State Government funding and homeowners money and left them with incomplete and uninhabitable homes.

The women named in this article have only became aware of each other through their shared experience with the same builder, director and building company; when The Courier Mail first reported on the QBCC failings on regulating the building industry.

The building industry is failing itself through not having the right framework in place to address how all these women, other homeowners, small businesses and trades have come to be be owed $100's of thousands of dollars by just one company builder.  Public Access to the Brisbane District Court found a national building warehouse received a 'default judgement' against the same builder. 

There needs to be QBCC Reform on how the qualifications, training, RPL and licenses are provided within the building industry. We need to provide better protection and a fair system to everyone.
