Sent to Mr Crisafulli on 23 July 2025,

Queensland has a population of almost 5.6 million people and how are you protecting and regulating their current and future rights within the building industry?

It would appear from the amount of responses I receive from strangers, who share their experiences, stories and current battles with rogue builders, unpaid trades and a broken regulated system.  How are you intending to fix, help and support the very people you are here to serve as the premier of this state?

It has been over 2 months since I sent your office an email 'Requesting an Investigation into the QBCC Conduct' and almost 8 months since I emailed your Housing Minister for his assistance also.   Yet in the past 2 months I have only heard how your office, minister and governing regulator who have FAILED to protect the very people of our great state. The signatures are climbing daily on the petition of 'Be the Change - QBCC Reform';

The QBCC has provided an umbrella of armour for these rogue builders by failing to action, be transparent and update consumers so they can make informed choices.

Your data is not in real time, your investigations rely on public reporting and your FAILING systems are unchecked and unmonitored; leaving hardworking Queenslanders responsible for governing the very industry that in 2021 you personally criticize the opposition housing minister in their failure to address the QBCC bias to the builder. I quote you is saying;

'The only common theme amongst all of it is a minister who is loosing control of his department and a building regulator who has stopped regulating and stopped caring" (sic)

If a building company, director and QBCC licenced builder can achieve such a mess for multiple home owners and small businesses; imagine what a larger building company can do.

Since a public interest article was published; I am just shocked at how many homeowners are being let down by the very system that is meant to regulate and protect Queenslanders.  The amount of Queenslanders who have come forward with their stories in regards to the same builder or other builders is outrageous.

Executive Summary of Home Owners Experience's

Multiple Queensland homeowners allege serious contract breaches and unlicensed conduct by a residential builder.  My experience is referred to with "Tilson and Sons", resulting in unfinished or defective work, financial loss, and emotional distress. I have been made aware of another 5 properties and multiple subcontracting businesses, having consistent business practices include early payment pressure, lack of building approvals, unpaid trades, and abandoned worksites. While some clients are now in QCAT, engaging legal counsel, terminated contracts and others report prolonged inaction from QBCC and unresolved claims despite formal complaints.

When the matter attracted media attention was it really coincidence that the same day the QBCC proactively contacted the Burpengary East couple and began steps toward finally penalising the builder — action that had not occurred in the 10 months prior.  With the QBCC system still not reflecting the correct data and enforcement of legislation accurately.  Review request has been sent to the QBCC Integrity and Complaints; will that be another 12 months before investigating themselves and only to find that the builder has had previous demerit points removed due to the QBCC failings, inadequate system, accurate accountability and reporting 'in real time'.

Hard-working Queenslanders who have had their home's, lives, financial, mental and emotional stability crumble under this 'one person' providing unethical trading practices, possible misconduct as a company director and non-compliance as a QBCC licenced builder, while being protected under a failing regulatory governing body; the QBCC.
