The BBC Sports Personality of the Year Helen Rollason Award is an award given annually as part of the BBC Sports Personality of the Year ceremony each December. The award is given "for outstanding achievement in the face of adversity", and the winner is selected by BBC Sport.

Rob Burrow was diagnosed with MND in Dec 2019. Although there's no cure for Motor Neurone Disease, Rob continues his fight and raise awareness to fund vital research to find a cure. He is loved and respected by all rugby league fans and members of the sporting world

This is a petition to recognise what he has done for rugby league, his friends, family and his continuing work for MND whilst fighting this horrible debilitating disease.

By acknowledging this petition may influence the members of the BBC Sport team who vote on the recipient of the Helen Rollinson Award. I believe that Rob Burrow should be suitably recognised his contribution to rugby league and MND awareness.
