Angels was a BBC series that told the stories of six young women and their journeys to becoming nurses. The show premiered in England in 1975 to rave reviews, covered various sociocultural topics/issues, and gave an authentic portrayal of the nursing profession, that had never been previously done. Shot in a docudrama theme, the show catapulted its leading actresses to stardom in the British media; Fiona Fullerton (A View to a Kill), Julie Dawn Cole (Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory), Lesley Dunlop (The Elephant Man), Clare Clifford (Doctor Who), Erin Geraghty (The Tales of Beatrix Potter), Angela Bruce (Red Dwarf), and Karan David (The Lotus Eaters).

Simply Media released Series 1 on DVD in 2012, and Series 2 the following year. Nearly ten years later, Series 3 has yet to be remastered and released on DVD. This petition is an appeal to the BBC and Simply Media to please release Series 3 on DVD.

Without Series 3, the collection, history, and presence of Angels is incomplete. It would be an immense discredit to the legacy of the show (which was groundbreaking for feminism in the 1970s and set the bar for more authentic portrayals of medical shows) and the history of BBC television to not have the third series (which was the last to consist of most of the original cast and before the tone of the series became more of a soap opera) released on DVD.
