As students, we expect full accountability, integrity, and transparency when it comes to the safety of not just us, but our families too.

Despite the school's claims of protecting students from this disease, we have found several areas of concern while attending school this past couple of weeks. It is imperative to notify students and families of the cases within the district. Families need to be aware of the amount of confirmed cases so they can take the best course of action for their kids, to ensure the safety of their family.

The alleged covid spread in our school is not the only area of concern. There have been complaints made about teachers not wearing their masks properly while in the presence of students. Another point commonly brought up is the issue of buses, or more specifically, keeping social distancing whilst on the buses.

While attending school, there is a noticeable lack of regulation when it comes to enforcing CDC guidelines, more specifically, keeping students and staff apart. Since a majority of Bayless students attend school in-person, keeping regulation according to the CDC, should be a top priority for faculty. Despite the school's efforts, we have only seen ONE policy being implemented, which is the mask guideline.
