Bath MP Wera Hobhouse Must Call for an Investigation of 3 GP's in the Public Interest

The Issue

I am calling on Bath MP Wera Hobhouse to demand a thorough investigation in the public interest of allegations of criminal abuse by three GPs at Grosvenor Place surgery in Bath. These very serious allegations have been covered-up by various organisations.

Despite the General Medical Council stating "These are very serious allegations of bad faith, deceit, fraud & collusion which could obviously affect a doctor's registration" no investigation has taken place. The Professional Standards Authority, GMC's regulator, states 'All allegations of violence & dishonesty against doctors should be investigated even where there is no evidence as a failure to do so doesn't protect the public'. The allegations amount to the indictable offences of:

1. Fraud Act 2006; s2 Fraud by False Representation                                                              s3 Fraud by Failing to Disclose Information

2. Conspiracy & attempted conspiracy to prevent diagnosis [&      treatment] of serious infection

3. Wilful neglect & ill treatment [s20 Criminal Justice & Courts Act                                                                                                                2015]

These acts were committed to protect the reputations of the two partners.

NHSE lied to my MP stating it had been investigated. This is provably false & the MP knows she was lied to. Only months later the surgery permanently closed & the two partner GP's 'retired', still with no investigation! NHSE covered-up these grave violations of a patient's dignity and health to prevent massive reputational harm because this wasn't a 'lone wolf' actor but 3 GP's conspiring over many months to prevent a diagnosis & medical treatment. The 3 GP's in question are white & female.

The MP has accepted this outcome & now refuses to call for a proper investigation. This leaves thousands of ex-patients, over a 20 year period, unaware that the GP's who treated & cared for them may have harmed deliberately. Ex-patients may have their own concerns which they ignored because no one thinks doctors will harm.

I'm asking my MP to uphold her duty to her constituents & call for an independent investigation to ensure the public are protected & patient safety is prioritised. Please sign this petition to support a fit-for-purpose investigation into these very serious criminal allegations.

Help protect 1000's of ex-patients who have been denied their right under the Duty of Candour to be informed of these very serious concerns.
