The Green space opposite Amport Road in Sherfield Park is about to have a play park built on it. This space is the only natural green space on the entire development. There are two play parks already situated within 3-5 minute walk from this area, therefore there is no requirement to ruin this space. Personally, we bought our house just over a year ago because it was facing this area of nature, so to hear that it is going to be bulldozed and built on, is very frustrating and upsetting. An example of the issues which will be caused include:

- Increased noise

- Increased youth presence at night (+ everything this brings with it)

- Wildlife reduction (this site is directly next to a conservation area, which will inevitably be impacted by the building of this play park.

I understand that the planning permission for this park was granted during the development of Sherfield Park, when nobody lived here. Now, people have moved into their houses and use this area for walking/dog walking, peace & quiet, etc etc, and from my conversations, everyone is against this park from being built.

Please sign this petition and help to force this decision to be reversed.
