Graves Matter at Barry Cemetery
The Issue
GRAVES REALLY DO MATTER - as well as the resting places for departed family and friends they are also historical reminders of times past. They deserve TLC
Initially established in 2003 and recently taken over, Grave Matters retains its identity as a family run business offering a restoration; care and maintenance service for family graves across the South Wales area including Carmarthenshire and the Upper Swansea Valley.
Churches and cemeteries nowadays cannot care for individual graves and Grave Matters offers a valuable and necessary service to maintain the final resting place of loved ones
Barry Town Council is refusing Martin access to Merthyr Dyfan Cemetery in Barry because they claim the graves do not need maintaining as they are cut by cemetery staff.
Martin has emailed and appealed this and The Council are not interested in allowing the Graves to be maintained in Merthyr Dyfan Cemetery.
The Council have stated that this has nothing to do with COVID 19
There are lots and lots of families who use Martin’s services and are absolutely distraught by the behaviour of the council when a grave is all they have left of their loved one.
