Are you aware that hunters have the right to hunt in your neighborhood? Unfortunately, there’s conflicting information. However, I spoke to the commissioner and then a day later 2 men in full uniform show up at my door. Well it seems they couldn’t reach me by phone, so they figured they’d drop bye for my and my communities concerns regarding hunters being too close for comfort! I was told they were within their legal rights and unfortunately, hunters do make mistakes and deer are left with a bow and arrow sticking out out its body, or a dart in one’s side!! Which tells me, what’s to say they don’t shoot one of us or our pets?? People are outraged and extremely nervous to walk their dogs or do anything not knowing what might happen to them. My entire community stands together that this is unacceptable. When I spoke to the commissioner, he was so nonchalant about the possibility of a hunter accidentally injuring or killing somebody. “ unfortunately, accidents happen, hunters aren’t always perfect “ so you’re telling me, basically, oh well, too bad for that person or their pet! He told me i didn’t have to like the law, but it doesn’t change bc i don’t like it. So I told him, let me tell you something, I’ve got a community backing me up and that law is gonna change bc I’ll get a petition going. He basically told me, well you do that, but in the meantime, the hunters are within their rights. There’s so many wooded areas that are not within range of possibly hurting someone or killing them. I don’t know when people lost their sanity or if they ever had it, but this is crazy, and I wanted to tell this jerk, ok, how about i come where you live and do some target practice and ooops, i didn’t mean to shoot you or your family members. Would that be ok??? But I didn’t say that like I do desperately wanted too!! We want the hunters away from neighborhoods. I also will be doing another petition regarding police vs animal control! We want everyone to know they have rights but so do we. I’m adding this to my petition bc I believe it’s a crucial part when hunting. Hunters shouldn’t have the right to use anything but a gun for hunting. Bc as I’ve witnessed deer go bye my house with darts or arrow sticking in them is very disturbing and cruelty to animals. These poor creatures are having to walk around with these objects sticking out of them and that’s more than horrifying. Hunting shouldn’t even be allowed bc there’s absolutely no reason for it unless you’re stranded in the middle of nowhere and have nothing to eat!! There’s no reason anyone should go hungry and the reason people might be suffering is bc of our government wants us that way. There’s a lot people need to learn about the true world we’re living in & it will make you very angry & sick to your stomach. So please don’t listen to the media. There’s sources out there to help you seek truth. And please let’s stop cruelty to these beautiful creatures!! Thank you in advance.
