To Bandai Namco Games, the 3rd installment of Tecmo Koei's Pirate Warriors series, based on the famous anime/manga One Piece has been announced. As fans of the series and consumers, we need to ask of you for one simple thing for its release: have it dubbed in english for its North American release.

The last two games, Pirate Warriors 1 & 2 have both been released digitally in the U.S with Japanese audio and english subtitles. While we are happy to play the games without having to import, it's a bother to us to have to read subtitles constantly at the bottom of the screen to understand the situation during gameplay. It's straining for the eyes of many and simply obnoxious to all of us who don't understand Japanese, which is generally all fans.

By dubbing the game it will open up to more fans and newcomers to purchase since its in their language and easier to understand. Just look at the success with Dragon Ball Z and Naruto games:

1. 1. The Funimation cast of DBZ is legendary, every game dubbed is well received by fans and critics.
2. 2. Viz dubbing Naruto and games such as the Ultimate Ninja Storm series; fans are happy and people are able to enjoy the game.
3. 3. A big part of the success of DBZ & Naruto games are thanks to the english dubbing for North America and others such as Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

One Piece is already famous world-wide, especially in the US. It had a rocky start in the early 2000s because of 4kids heavily editing the ruining the series. But in 2007 Funimation acquired the rights for the series and fans deemed it "heroic". Since then, both fans and critics have praised the new cast and uncut episodes. And now it has been airing on Toonami and garners nearly one million views every Saturday. The Funimation dub is currently halfway to catching up to Japans current airing of the anime. But thanks to Funimation streaming the newest episodes, fans are caught up each week.

And another factor to consider: the game will also be on the Playstation 4, a new video game system that has amazing reception and sales world-wide! Many people are getting the new-gen systems and expecting somthing as basic as an english dub for their games.

So our request is this: Please Dub Pirate Warriors 3. We know you must be weary to do it since 4kids messed things up, but thats not an issue anymore! The series has already risen above in popularity and its obvious a dubbing for the game would be a great financial opportunity and a kind gesture to the fans. With every Pirate Warrior game released and Unlimited World Red, reviewers and critics always point out the lack of a dub which knocks down reception for the game and can affect sales.

But we'd also like for future video games, One Piece or not to be dubbed at well. Aside from just One Piece several other titles released by Namco have been lazily subtitled and released. If you would dub more Japanese games for their american release it would bring in more people to buy and gain better reception.

So please Bandai Namco Games, do the right thing and have Funimation dub Pirate Warriors 3; and consider dubbing future Japanese video games in the process for better sales and reception.
