The band director at Tharptown high school built a band program from absolutely nothing. With little support and next to no funding she took a group of kids and gave them something to be proud of. With only 3 years of instruction she built an award winning program and inspired children to excellence.

Beyond that, she treated these children as if they were her own encouraging them to be their true selves and find their own voices and the exemplify the true meaning of PRIDE.

Her contract was not renewed this year and the community is devastated. Please help us draw attention to this injustice and let your voice be heard! THS does not want or need a new band director.
