Ban workplace/private pensions in divorce

The Issue

People may be relying on their pension to retire comfortably and without leading to poverty, and then the unforeseen could happen and they've lost 50% of their pension, which doesn't allow for a comfortable retirement.

Sustainability shows that the government will abolish the state pension and will seize to exist and people are relying on workplace/private to be able to retire comfortably, and if the worst case scenario of divorce happens and the spouse automatically gets 50%.  It is also unfair especially if there is no marital property for offsetting, and the spouse hasn't contributed to a private/workplace pension, but takes 50% of the party that has contributed, and the spouse hasn't contributed to anything. This is not at a disadvantage to women due to being able to receive childcare from 9months onwards.

Consider this, your son/daughter won't get a state pension because it has been phased out.  They have paid into  pension all their life but the person they married hasn't.  The person has lied to them, stolen from them, and cheated on them.  They then decide to set up with someone new but want half of the pension your child is relying on to retire.

Don't sign this for yourself, but for your children, either now or in the future and grandchildren, either now or in the future.
