The Issue

My school in Frisco, TX, has faced numerous vaping problems, causing distress among students and affecting their education. Recently, my sister was unfairly singled out and pulled from class because the school suspected she had a vape in her bag. A close friend of mine was even arrested after being caught with a vape. These incidents highlight a growing problem that endangers our youth, fosters anxiety, and disrupts learning environments.

I am participating in The Peace Warrior's Global Youth Program in 2025 to help raise awareness about the situations occurring in Frisco. Vaping has become increasingly prevalent in high schools across Frisco. What might seem like a trendy activity can have dire consequences. Studies indicate that vaping can lead to addiction, affect cognitive functions, and, in some cases, lead to severe health issues. Furthermore, the presence of vaping can be distracting for students who are there to learn and grow.

This petition calls upon the Frisco Independent School District and local authorities to implement stricter regulations and preventive measures to curb vaping in our schools. This includes educating students about the dangers of vaping, enforcing policies that discourage possession and use of vape devices on school grounds, and providing support and counseling to students who struggle with nicotine addiction.

It's essential to safeguard our learning environments and ensure that schools remain a place for education and growth, not a venue for dangerous habits. By acting now, we can protect our students' health and keep our schools safe and focused on what truly matters — learning.

Join me in urging the Frisco Independent School District to take decisive action to ban vaping in high schools and make a positive change for current and future students. Sign this petition to show your support and stand up against vaping in our schools.
