Ban TOXIC Flea Treatments for Cats and Kittens Containing Etofenprox (Sergeant's, Sentry)

Ban TOXIC Flea Treatments for Cats and Kittens Containing Etofenprox (Sergeant's, Sentry)
The Issue
When properly used according to directions on the box, Sergeant's Cat/Kitten Flea & Tick Drops, Flea Collars, and Sentry Purrscriptions Cat & Kitten Drops, BioSpot, and Vet-Kem are known to cause neurological damage and death in kittens. Here are the scary results of Sergeants kitten drops that vet's offices see all the time (All Friends Animal Hospital, Norwich, CT): https://www.facebook.com/AFAHNorwich/videos/557665950939280/
These products are sold as being safe for cats and kittens but are blacklisted by the Humane Society due to dangerous concentrations of Etofenprox (55%), a pyrethroid insecticide.
The Center for Public Integrity reports: "In the last five years, the EPA received a total of more than 25,000 reports of pet pesticide reactions of every sort — fatal, major, moderate, and minor — to over-the-counter pyrethroid spot on products."
It is the shared responsibility of producers, pet stores, the EPA and the FDA to get these misleading products out of the hands of consumers. Etofenprox is not found in Frontline, Advantage, PetArmor, Zodiac, Advantix, or a number of other flea products, which can be used safely and are the better option for stocking shelves.
