Dave Grossman, a retired Lieutenant Colonel of the United States Army, is best known for training police around the country TO KILL. Traveling around the country almost 300 days a year, local police departments pay him to teach his self-proclaimed "killology" philosophy. Stated on his website Killology.com, this study focuses on the reactions of healthy people in killing circumstances (such as police and military in combat) and the factors that enable and restrain killing in these situations. Grossman describes his police training program as, "Making it possible for people to kill without conscious thought."(Frontline-PBS interview) His course, The Bulletproof Mind, teaches officers the logic behind killing a fellow human by desensitizing them to overcome our natural inclination to not kill one another. If you're prepared to kill, Grossman says, "It's just not that big of a deal." Author of the Pulitzer Prize nominated On Killing: The Psychological Cost of Learning to Kill in War and Society, he says his books are required reading at the FBI academy and many law enforcement academies.  

Officer Jeronimo Yanez shot and murdered Philando Castile in 2016. It was later discovered that this officer had attended Grossman's "Bulletproof Warrior" training. Grossman's violent teachings for the last 2 decades have spread an ideology intent on dehumanizing the very citizens that law enforcement are sworn to be protecting and serving. Instead, cops are trained by Grossman to see us as enemies and combatants in the field of battle.

In April 2019, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey banned warrior-style training in Minneapolis calling it "fear-based." Other local police departments and mayor’s need to stop paying Dave Grossman for his seminars and teachings, and his “killology” training needs to be banned across every police academy in the nation. Police Justice reform has many branches to cut off. This type of training method is at the very root of that tree, and by banning the man behind it we can begin to reverse Grossman’s decades-long war on the American People.
