Since I was a young child, I have always had a passion for sharks. When I realized that millions of sharks are killed annually by cruelly and brutally hacking the sharks' fins off while alive and throwing them back in the water to die slowly, I knew I had to do something about this unethical problem. 

Shark finning is an incredibly inhumane practice that leads to the death of millions of sharks every year. This not only causes immense suffering but also disrupts marine ecosystems. Sharks are apex predators and play a crucial role in maintaining the balance of ocean life.

Canada has already taken steps by banning shark fin imports, but more needs to be done. By banning the sale of shark fin soup entirely, we can take a significant step towards ending this cruel practice and protecting our oceans.
