A single firework launched exposes roughly 6.5 milligrams to 151 milligrams of particulate matter, which has harmful heavy metals that shouldn’t be released into the air. Climate change is already a big thing in the world right now, launching up 5 fireworks at once in the time spam of an hour will just make everything worse. There have been plenty of cases over the years of fireworks causing fires. There have also been plenty of cases over the years of people losing body parts from them. They are very harmful to animals too for plenty of reasons- for wildlife, panic from the sudden boom can cause animals to roam freely where dangers might be in the dark. Animals as parents can get so freightened they run away from their babies, leaving them to die from starvation and lack of general care. Fires can start in their habitats. Most wildlife and animals you can keep as pets (especially dogs and cats) can die from hyperventilating, seizures, a harmful racing heart rate, etc. due to their ears that are far more sensitive from humans. It’s also very harmful for the veterans who have severe ptsd. Fireworks sound very much like bombs and guns. They dealt with those sounds in a deadly matter for years, which caused them major trauma. They are also harmful to infants as well, causing hearing damage from the loud intense noise, anxiety and overstimulation that can cause hyperventilating and harmful increased heart rate, and it can disrupt their sleeping schedules, which is harmful because a good sleeping schedule is one of the most important things for infants to have so it doesn’t possibly cause any further health problems. Last thing I should mention is the harm it does to most neurodivergent people. Roughly 90% of neurodivergent people have intense sensitivity to sound, especially ones with autism, SPD (sensory processing disorder), and ADHD. Like animals and babies, the loud sudden sound can cause panic, making them hyperventilate, have seizures, and harmfully increase heart rate which can all possibly result to death.
