As an Australian student , I believe the that enforcement of uniform and an old fashioned scammed established by the school system as a greedy scam that manipulate their students into purchasing overly priced , unaesthetic and eye soaring uniform for the sake of squeezing every last possible cents out of their candidates, us , students and our parents. 


Firstly , school take advantage of puberty in order to force us to buy as much uniform as possible. High school starts as a child is going through the pinnacle stages of adolescence. During this period of time ( mostly through yr7-9) it was known that children at this age experience an exponential spike in height and muscle gain . It is obvious that during this time , school uniform must be relentlessly replace in order to adjust to a child’s body . This is nothing more than an exploit that high school abuses that isn’t getting any light shine upon . With school uniform priced at a ridiculous amount of money (up to 46.95) for one singular shirt . It is without a doubt that school uniform is price at an unreasonable amount . Not to mention the fact that a child needs at least 3 shirts per week in order to fill the cycle. Forcing a family in a middle of a living crisis to spend an unreasonable amount of money just for most of it to go in vain once their child graduates or they simply out grown their clothes isn’t humane and it is simply a scam , as the school gain so much profit in uniform just for most of it to get wasted 

Secondly , as children become progressively aware of their self image and appearance, their sense of fashion and awareness about their body image also progressively worsen . It is no stranger to the fact that school uniform isn’t the most aesthetically pleasing thing that someone could wear . Personally , i think uniform fail to satisfy the look that most people perfer . Their mundanity and repetitive design fail to express any sense of uniqueness. School uniform across Australia i all share  a lazy copy and paste design with minor tweaks to elevate and saturate the school logo a bit more , essentially turning school kids into a walking advertisement. I think this idea oppose the embracement and freedom that Australia often promote . It is not right to force kids to wear the same mundane and bleak uniform during their adolescence where their creativity and want to express themself peak and i think that we should allow this to happen . 

Finally , the act of enforcing uniform in the modern school system is an old fashioned practice that simply doesn’t fit the norm in the modern society no longer . Many countries that have one of happiest citizens in the word including: Denmark , Finland , France , Germany ,Iceland ,Ireland , Italy , America , etc . These countries listed have one of the most advance infrastructure and are the current leader of wht world . This has proven that uniform has no impact on society whatsoever . The implementation of uniform still being present in our system proved the lack of innovation and adjustment made which is what holding the Australian school system back by decades . I personally insist that the school system must need heavy reevaluation and changes must be made .
