The US Government needs to BAN the TextNow app and all similar apps immediately.  These apps allow scammers and cyber bullies to STEAL other people's legitimate phone numbers, create them into a fake account looking like real account holder and use them to call and text people.

My phone number through Verizon has been stolen and cloned and is being used by a scammer to harass multiple people. My friends and others have also had their phone numbers stolen, not limited to cell phone numbers but landlines as well.

I am also getting hundreds of harassing phone calls from these fake TextNow numbers. 

This is illegal, stalking, and cyber bullying and it needs to stop immediately.
