Sparx Maths, a widely used educational tool, has been implemented in many schools around the nation aiming to enhance students’ mathematical capabilities. However, it is critical to evaluate whether the introduction of such technology truly benefits our students or if it imposes undue pressure and detracts from genuine learning. This is no ordinary website, the scheme of work is draining and uninspiring

Firstly, it has a terrible algorithm, giving out content years above students' academical capabilities, and also giving out impossible questions making students feel like idiots. The website believes 100% is minimum, and pressures schools to issue drills, detentions and punishments to whoever doesn't complete the homework. The website also has irrelevant videos to 'help' students who are struggling, and most of the time doesn't help people at all. It has 'bookwork checks' to force students to write in their books, which is never acknowledged by teachers and wastes paper important for educational purposes. Parents don't see it, but most students hate the website, there is also even proof of this on Trustpilot, so if you are doubting that the website is terrible then go on the website.
