Recently, many schools (including my own) have implemented this app called Smartpass. It is a digital hall pass app but it causes many problems for students and teachers. Heres the worst part about it: Students can only be out of the room for 5 MINUTES AT MAX. This rule comes with no acceptions. What if a student is sick? Doesn’t matter. Be back in 5 minutes. It is also a new way of tardy slips, which is completely unreasonable. The teachers have to enter a pin each time a student leaves the room and most teachers don’t know how to do that.
