Every day, more and more pages are being blocked on school devices by the web extension Securly. This affects all students who have the app, which is kept by the administrators, to the point where some crucial websites are blocked, such as some wikis for information, sites for images and sourcing, etc. This not only annoys the students, but also sinks their grades. Also, Securly is a spyware. It tracks every single key you press, every site you visit, and every app you use, all while sending it to administrators, not telling the user this is happening. The schools, however, argue that without Securly, students will be playing video games all the time. If so, then what are the teachers doing? Don't they walk around the classroom, looking at the screens? Securly needs to be banned.

If we are able to finally block Securly once and for all, there will be no negative impact. The students will be happy, Securly can't spy on what you are doing, and grades will surface. Studies conducted by various scientifical institutions have proven that the better a student's mood, the better they will perform in classwork/homework, also meaning that they will not even feel an urge to play online games in class.

As every day passes, Securly finds more and more sites to block. In fact, a few days ago in San Ramon, Securly blocked EVERY single site, including Google, for an entire day. How do you do homework then? We need to block Securly before it gets too late and it leaves a lasting imprint.
