Angelique "Gigi" Mecedonia Sotelo Trevino Salazar, a self-proclaimed influencer, has been exploiting social media platforms to gain sympathy and monetary benefits from unsuspecting followers. With fabricated stories of her so-called struggles and rude, unprofessional behavior masked as candid and relatable content, Gigi has fooled thousands into supporting her lifestyle. 

She has been accused of selling bootlegged merchandise, peddling products, such as Hello Kitty merchandise and Purses. She sells these merchandises as well as other bootlegged product in her house basement without a valid business license. She has a few hundred, if not in the thousands of all of these merchandises. Apart from her illegal business practices, she is notorious for exploiting her own family, including her children, to gather sympathy and build her followership. Such actions utterly contradict the social media guidelines and ethics we uphold, which was primarily developed to build a positive and supportive community.

Many followers have recounted instances where they were met with rudeness and unprofessional attitude when they dared to question her or her practices. This is not just about one person but the many she has scammed over time. She has her followers pay $10 a month each for a secret group which she has never made. She misuses cashapp for every transaction she makes on her hello kitty cheap makeup sales, as well as anything else she sells, and will not refund or replace anything that is broken or missing. She charges a finders fee of $10 for items she bought on her own. Everything she sells is 3 to 4 times more the value of that item.

Social media is a powerful tool for communication, education, and expression. No one should be allowed to exploit it to deceive and scam people under the mask of influence. Gigi has been reported to Facebook numerous of times but to no avail. They allow her to behave as she pleases in spite of the reports, this it NOT acceptable! It's high time we stood up to manipulative practices happening in our online community.

Update: October 1, 2025. 

Gigi has escalated in her behavior by showing signs of drug use. There are plenty of videos of her Tik Tok lives where it is apparent of her being under the influence of drugs or alcohol. She has confessed to her and her husband Ralph Salazar drinking and driving with her 2 kids in the car. She said she can do whatever she wants to do. She needs to be stopped and reprimanded for these actions. CPS has overlooked every report of Gigi's misconduct. Please keep sharing this petition. Once we have reached our goal, we expect action to be taken immediately!
