Tuesday night I needed to go and get dog food. I went to plaistow nh and purchased the bag of dog food we previously got by ol’ Roy. When I got home that night I fed my dogs and they went to sleep. Wednesday morning and night they picked at their food and didn’t really eat it which is normal. Thursday morning we woke up to our youngest pup Sitka panting and not responding to us. Her eyes were focused and was limp. We rushed her to the vet and we found out her sodium level was so high the vets said it kept feeding error. Normal levels for dogs should be around 150. They can read to as high as 180. So it was over that. We know she didn’t get into anything as we watch closely. When I got home around 3:30 my older pup koda was having the same symptoms as his sister Sitka was having. At 4:30 koda was put to rest as he was much worse then his sister. Sitka was still being monitored and we were doing everything we could for her. We figured out the only thing new they ate was the bag of dog food. As of this morning we had lost both dogs within 12 hrs of each other. Due to sodium overdose from this dog food. I tried contacting their customer support and they have disconnected their lines and no way of getting in touch with them. My dogs were healthy and strong. If u know anyone who feeds their dog this food please don’t. It’s not good for them as it’s known to give kidney problems and same things that happen to my dogs and I wasn’t aware till after the first dog passed. I went to Walmart and filed a complaint as that’s what I was advised to do. The manager ed said “if it makes u feel any better we haven’t sold a bag TODAY.” But doesn’t mean they didn’t the pass few days. Please share and make others aware so they don’t have to experience what we have experienced the past 24 hrs. No matter how much of a pinch ur in do not get this food!!
