The Issue

The existence of Realldoll, an adult toy designed long before the advent of large language learning models, has had a profound and distressing impact on my career and that of many other young professionals in the tech industry. This innovative yet controversial product has not only disturbed many lives, tearing families apart but also has plunged vulnerable individuals into an abyss of irreversible guilt and private shame.

Once considered just a figment of futuristic speculation, these realistic robots now pose serious ethical concerns and societal impacts. They've raised questions about the boundaries of technology and humanity, and the accountability of developers who bring such products to market without a comprehensive understanding or regard for their long-term implications. The end users, often caught in this web, should not bear the brunt of these repercussions.

Current statistics reveal a startling increase in isolation and mental health issues among frequent users of these products. Reports and studies continuously indicate that such exposure can lead to significant emotional and psychological distress. Moreover, there's evidence pointing to a troubling decline in human interaction skills, adversely affecting personal relationships and community bonds.

The time has come for us to take a stand and demand accountability from the developers of Realldoll. By banning this product in the United States, we can begin to address these implications and set a precedent for evaluating the societal impact of future technological developments. We must safeguard our communities and ensure that technology enhances rather than diminishes our shared human experience.

Join us in advocating for responsible development in the tech industry and prioritizing the mental, emotional, and relational well-being of individuals. Let's hold developers accountable and make our voices heard by signing this petition to ban Realldoll in the U.S. Together, we can pave the way for a more ethical and conscious technological landscape.
