After learning the dire and just down right cruel conditions puppies and their parents go through when being bred through puppy farms I had to start this petition.

What is a puppy farm?

A puppy farm is a mass production of breeding puppies. They are left in barns, in the dark, all day every day, left to live in crampt spaces to survive (if they even do), to eat, sleep, urinate and deficate in the pen.

They are seen as "stock" and not living beings, so when they can no longer produce puppies or are puppies that can't be sold, they get abandoned, beaten, shot and killed after a lifetime of abuse.

The puppies are typically sold in pet shops and after purchasing, usually die from malnutrition and diseases that could have been prevented, leaving the puppy on medication for life, needing urgent surgery or medical attention, as well as the new owners being heartbroken and financially drained.

They are not being handled, or handled cruelly by the humans that run the farm so develop major fear and anxiety, PTSD, and possible aggression that stays with them for a lifetime.

Sadly, there are over 70,000 puppy farms in the UK alone.

They are not yet illegal. But should be.

The farms must have a licence issued by the local council which looks round and inspects the property, not the quality of life of the dogs.

They are being bred in environments where a prison would be an idyllic dream to exist.

Imagine if you dog was stolen from you, beaten, starved, living in total fear and forced to breed until they get shot for being useless. It's unthinkable. But it is happening right now.

You would do anything to save them, so please support this cause to end this cruelty to animals.

They need to be saved from these horrific places. And to put a stop to animal cruelty once and for all.
