As a peanut allergy sufferer myself, this is a global issue which impacts the safety of peanut allergy sufferers when travelling on aircraft's. An airborne allergy means that even a trace of peanut in the air can trigger severe allergic reactions which can result to the worse case scenario.

According to Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE), around 32 million Americans have food allergies, and peanuts are one of the most common allergens. The risk posed by exposure to peanuts in confined spaces like airplanes is significant and can lead to life-threatening situations. 

This is just not an issue here in the UK, but globally and in recent years there have been many incidents due to peanuts being sold at airports which have resulted in the loss of life and most recently a family being thrown off a plane due to having the allergy.

By banning the sale of peanut products at airports, we can create a safer environment for all travelers and reduce the risk of accidental exposure. Please sign this petition to urge airport authorities to take immediate action and protect those with peanut allergies.
