Many schools in DeKalb use chromebooks. One app many teachers use to monitor these chromebooks is Net-ref. Net-ref is a monitoring app. Teachers abuse this app and stalk students anytime and all the time they want to. It breaks our rights as we should be free to do almost anything (inside school limits of course.) I feel that we should get rid of this app. I am a High School Student and I have to deal with this every day, and sometimes it is just plain annoying. I get that they are just trying to make sure we are doing our work, but our teachers should let us do our own things at our own time. Statistically, 80% of people say they're willing to act to protect their privacy and personal data, according to the Cisco Consumer Privacy Survey. Also, 72% of Americans fell like they stress under being watched. So, help me restore people's privacy.
