As a pet owner, I have witnessed firsthand the distress caused by modified exhausts on cars and motorcycles. Our two dogs, rescued from a life of hardship on the streets, are severely affected by these aggressive sounds. One of them has to be medicated for anxiety and is so affected by loud noises like fireworks and modified exhausts that they stop eating or drinking altogether. The prevalence of these modified exhausts means our beloved pet often goes long periods without sustenance, hiding in small spaces at home out of fear.

But it's not just domestic animals who suffer. Wildlife also experiences distress due to these loud bangs and pops created by altered exhaust systems. This noise pollution disrupts their natural behaviors, potentially leading to decreased survival rates.

Furthermore, there is strong evidence that such noises cause distress among people across all age groups who cannot understand what these sounds mean. They also create a nuisance for everyone else who values peace in their environment.

It's time we put an end to this unnecessary noise pollution caused by modified car and motorcycle exhaust systems for the sake of our pets, wildlife, and fellow citizens' well-being.
