For far too long, the American government has been hijacked by money. Lobbying — the legalized bribery that allows corporations, billionaires, and special interest groups to buy influence — has corrupted the foundation of democracy itself.

Lobbying is not “representation.” It’s manipulation. When money speaks louder than citizens, democracy dies. Congress no longer answers to the people; it answers to whoever pays the most. This is why pharmaceutical prices stay high, why clean energy policy gets buried, why wars are prolonged, and why ordinary working Americans keep getting ignored.

We, the undersigned, demand a total ban on all forms of lobbying — direct or indirect, corporate or private, financial or in-kind. No gifts, no campaign “contributions,” no revolving doors between public office and corporate boards. Public servants must serve only the public.

We call for:
 1. A federal amendment outlawing lobbying and influence-peddling.
 2. Full transparency and strict penalties for any attempt to buy or sell political influence.
 3. Mandatory waiting periods for former government officials before entering the private sector in any related industry.

This is not about left or right. It’s about right and wrong.
