We are getting closer to a staggering 25,000 signers! Thank you to each and every one of you for promoting, signing and sharing!
I never thought this petition would get more reach than about 5,000, but, Surprise, surprise! WE are many, who collectively wants to ban Israel from the ESC!
No answers on my e-mails to ESC, EBU and the Police... Not surprised thou. They probably dismiss me as mentaly ill... Hahhah sorry.
I also got contacted by a German tabloid (Bild Zeitung), hahahahha what are the odds??!
They sent me some questions and I answered, I am quite sure his "interview" wont be published because it is soooo far from what they normally publish, see questions and answers below:
How did you come up with the idea for the petition? I was frustrated over the way media reported about the conflict in Gaza hence the 7th of October attack. Me knowing that the conflict has been ongoing ever since 1948 more or less, and without Israels violations and apartheid state there would be no Hamas. So I wanted to make a petition that had more than one function. Yes, I want Israel out of Eurovision, I know that Israel loves the whole concept (and probably pays a great deal of money for it) so as i write in my petition - a public shaming and a ban from participating in Eurovision 2024, would be mine, and as of today 22 600+ others way, to say that their violence against Palestinians is not accepted in any way. The petition has/had a second function as well, I share links to local Palestinian media and Middle eastern media stations, as well as to Jewish voice of peace witch is a jews organisation toward Palestinian liberation and Judaism beyond Zionism. change.org is also a great place to voice opinions as you have to sign the petition to comment... So I haven´t had to spend endless hours cleaning out Israeli bots.
Where do you identify human rights violations in the Gaza war?
In the same way that the ICJ has, thru witnessing stories, following habitants in Gaza hearing and reading their witness and seeing pictures and live photo on social media.
What is your personal connection to Gaza and Israel? I have Palestinian friends, and jewish friends as well. But mostly I´m a person who has interests in human rights, and cant be silent when there is violations of them.
Why don’t you support Israel in this war? Because of Zionism. I live in Sweden and I don´t and never will support the rightwing, brownsmeared ideologies here either.
What would you like to say to Netanyahu personally?
It´s time to stop. You have had your wet dream of revenge and a killing spree of "mowing the grass" in Gaza. The world will never look at Israel the same again thanks to you and your political party Likud. I feel sorry for every person not coinciding with your ideologies that carries an Israeli passport for which you have made ashamed of being Israeli.
What has the Eurovision to do with it?
It IS a political arena, regardless of what and how much the ESC and EBU pretends it is not.

But now over to some good news.
FINALLY SWEDEN has made a statement against Israels participation in the ESC and today over a 1000 Swedish artist made a call for the EBU and Swedish Broadcasting company SVT to exclude Israel! This is major! Some of the artist signing are even former and current participants in the Swedish and International competition, and Eric Saade whom I wrote about in a earlier update signed as well!
I really hope we as a "Ban Israel" community will make an impact, there is strength in numbers as they say! All the petitions, calls from Island, Finland, Ireland, Norway and now Sweden, MUST make a change in the EBU´s rigid standpoint!

FREE FREE Palestine and stop Israel from participating in the ESC (and every sports arrangement, social gatherings, political forums, and so forth)
Keep sharing, be vocal, send emails, talk to your neighbour to inform them about Israels horrific violations against the Palestinians i Gaza and the West Bank!
STOP the genocide now!
