Ban Iready from Alabama Schools for Hindering Student Progress

Ban Iready from Alabama Schools for Hindering Student Progress
The Issue
My journey as a student in Alabama was progressing well until the introduction of Iready into our curriculum. This new system, rather than aiding my learning process, has caused my grades to plummet and created a barrier in understanding the teaching methods of my educators. The issue here is not just personal; it's about recognizing that one-size-fits-all solutions like Iready do not cater to diverse learning techniques.
I am not alone in this struggle. Across Alabama, students are grappling with similar challenges due to the implementation of Iready. It's clear that this program is pushing us back instead of propelling us forward.
Moreover, studies have shown that personalized learning strategies significantly improve student performance compared to standardized methods (source: National Education Association). Yet, we continue to be forced into a system that doesn't consider our unique ways of understanding and absorbing information.
We need an education system that nurtures individual growth and respects different learning styles. Therefore, we call upon the Alabama Department of Education to ban Iready from our schools and explore more flexible and adaptive educational tools.
