The Issue

Are you aware of the extensive privacy invasion posed by FLOCK cameras? Let me break it down. These cameras track everything about your vehicle—license plate, make, model, color, year, and even minor details like bumper stickers and dents. They don't stop there; they learn your daily routine, tracking your routes from the moment you leave home until you return.

But it gets worse. FLOCK cameras can recognize the way you walk. There's no escaping their gaze with ski masks or facial coverings, as they seem equipped with undisclosed facial recognition capabilities, despite claims to the contrary. They can even discern passengers' identities and alert authorities if you frequently travel with or meet another vehicle.

As if this isn't enough, these cameras can identify you just by detecting your device—even when out of sight. Pinged by your phone or network-accessible device, the system places you at the scene regardless of your physical location.

The real-time surveillance network is terrifyingly comprehensive. Police can search for any vehicle's details, and the system will flag every instance that vehicle was spotted by a FLOCK camera. This isn't just surveillance; it's an invasion of privacy that goes unchecked, turning our movements into data for whoever has access.

And unfortunately, that access is not limited to law enforcement and other governing agencies. Most of the data stored from flock is not encrypted, and all of it is stored in The cloud. With no password and no protection. Meaning Any person with bad intention can go on and locate whoever they want, Watch their routines, Learn when they’re vulnerable… And this causes a huge public-safety and cyber-security risk. All of this data in the cloud is a high-value target for hackers and those with sinister intentions.

EIGHTEEN Law-enforcement officers have already been charged with using this system to stalk women. Whether it was their current relationship, previous partner, or even in some cases, a complete stranger… The system is already being abused and it’s only going to get worse from here.

We need to take action to protect our privacy. Ban FLOCK cameras and demand regulations to prevent this invasive technology from infringing on our freedoms. It's time to say no to constant surveillance. Sign this petition to make a change for privacy rights across the United States. Together, we can curb this invasion of our personal space and regain control over our lives.
