Ban Intentional Resale of Concert Tickets

Ban Intentional Resale of Concert Tickets
The Issue
When I want to go see my favorite artists like Ariana Grande, SZA, etc. in concert, I attend the sale eager to secure a ticket. But then it sells out almost instantly. When I check partner sites or third-party apps, I find the same tickets I wanted being resold at outrageous prices—an $80 ticket priced at $300. This is beyond what I can afford and it breaks my heart that I miss out on these experiences.
The current system allows individuals and unscrupulous resellers to purchase hundreds of tickets at their original low prices, only to list them at several times their worth. This practice is devastating to true fans who passionately want to see their favorite artists perform live but are thwarted by exorbitant costs or the sudden unavailability of tickets.
It's time for action! Companies like Ticketmaster need to instigate policies that ban resellers from exploiting the system. Ban the ownership of hundreds of tickets by individuals and analyze purchase histories to detect the bad faith practices that push everyday fans out of the marketplace. Resellers target every major concert, depriving us of affordable, accessible opportunities to enjoy and support the artists we love.
The existence of resell platforms has created an unjust and inaccessible concert experience for true fans everywhere. Join me in calling for legislative and corporate action to stop this unfair practice. We need to make reselling concert tickets illegal and reclaim the joy of attending live events for the fans who truly support and appreciate these artists.
Sign this petition to urge Ticketmaster and relevant authorities to ban the resale of concert tickets, and put an end to profiteering that exploits fans who simply want to enjoy music and art. Together, we can make concerts accessible again for everyone.
