The Issue

I can't stand I-Ready. It barely teaches students anything worthwhile. The program is largely ineffective, consuming valuable time that could be better spent on more engaging educational activities. The software merely presents problems rather than fostering true learning or critical thinking skills.

Many students have voiced their frustrations over I-Ready's inability to provide real educational benefits. Instead of building comprehension and engagement, I-Ready often leaves students feeling stressed and overwhelmed. According to a study by the EdTech Index, 60% of students using similar programs report feeling anxious about their learning progress. This dissatisfaction is echoed by countless parents and educators who have witnessed students’ disengagement firsthand.

Moreover, the educational methods employed by I-Ready rely heavily on standardized testing techniques, which have been criticized for not addressing diverse learning needs. Research from the National Education Association shows that excessive reliance on standardized tests stifles creativity and innovation in the classroom. Students deserve better than being taught by a program that does not cater to different learning styles.

We need to take action now. We propose schools reevaluate the use of I-Ready, replacing it with teaching methods that truly resonate with students and inspire a genuine passion for learning. Schools could adopt hands-on learning experiences and interactive projects that actively involve students in their education, making it both meaningful and enjoyable.

It's time to prioritize our children's education and well-being by providing them with tools that truly enhance their learning potential. Join me in urging school administrators and educational boards to discontinue the use of I-Ready in our schools. Please sign this petition to make a constructive change that benefits our students' futures.
