Ban homework on the weekends!!

Ban homework on the weekends!!
The Issue
I deeply understand the torment of weekend homework, as I am a fellow student suffering from it. Every weekend seems to vanish in oblivion, consumed by heaps of homework, leaving no room for recreation and rest. This excessive workload is not only robbing us of our childhood delights but is also inflicting an enormous amount of stress, the impacts of which can leave lifelong traces.
An analysis by Stanford University affirms this narrative. It indicated that excessive homework leading to stress can result in impaired critical thinking, reduced creativity, and physical health problems like migraines and ulcers. Serial student surveys have consistently shown that homework goes far beyond the recommended amounts. The National PTA and the National Education Association both suggest that students receive no more than 10 minutes of homework per grade level per night.
Weekends are meant to be a time for relaxation, hobby nurturing, family time, and a break from the typical school environment. We propose a ban on weekend homework, to ensure that students have the opportunity for a balanced life, which is as essential to their success as their academic advancement.
Also the weekends serve an opportunity to study for future tests, an essential part of school. Homework, however takes up that time with useless assignments that should have been done in the school week. This evidently leads to failed tests, more stress and overall worse academic performance.
Let us band together and fight for our right to healthy student lives by signing this petition now. This simple action today can change the life of every student tomorrow.
