The Issue

Here we are another year in and after petitioning last year we are still not been heard , Herbasides and pestercides are still being  sprayed all over the East Midlands and most of the UK,  Hilton in Derbyshire has had dog fatalities and lots of sick dogs and animals this is not just Hilton or Derbyshire this is happening all over the UK

Our dogs are falling ill other animals and whildlife are becoming unwell because of  herbicides being sprayed , often with no signs put up or any warnings given , Unfortunately, many animals, pets and wildlife alike, are suffering as a result of these chemicals.

Herbicidal and pesticidal chemicals, though designed for elimination of unwanted plants and insects, have broader, more destructive effects on our environment. Beyond specific target organisms, these substances can be hazardous to a wide range of living creatures. Studies consistently point towards negative effects, including severe health effects on animals exposed to these toxins (Furlong et al., 2014). It's not the insects or the weeds that suffer alone, it's our beloved pets, the local birds, our essential pollinators; it's all animal life.

It's crucial that we recognize the scope and seriousness of this problem. We must protect our pets and local wildlife, our children who play in these spaces, and the overall biodiversity that keeps our ecosystems functioning.

We urge relevant authorities to immediately impose a ban on the use of herbicides and pesticides in public areas. Let's prioritize the health and wellbeing of our furry friends, our children, and our environment.

Please sign this petition to support the ban on herbicides and pesticides in public spaces.
