Ban fur farming globally

Ban fur farming globally
The Issue
Growing up surrounded by nature, I have always been an advocate for animals, even if for awhile I wasn't able to say it. It saddens me to think of the innocent foxes and minks who, rather than experiencing freedom in the wild, end their days in squalid cages just so their tormentors can profit from selling fur accessories such as pom poms. Most people remain unaware of the grim existence these animals endure from birth until their untimely death on fur farms across the world. Can you imagine the horror of living your life, confined to a tiny cage, only to meet a painful, unnecessary death? This is the daily reality for millions of animals on fur farms.
The fur industry not only violates fundamental animal rights but is also freed from all rules of human slaughter and protection. Animals such as foxes and minks endure unimaginable suffering. They are jammed into tiny cages and often used chemical experiments on to make them grow unnaturally large pelts, then later killed by anal/oral electrocution or gas chambers. Some animals wake up while they're being skinned alive. Animals in fur farms are often fed tainted meat deemed unfit for human consumption and drink their water through a nipple system, which can freeze during the winter. Many animals are driven insane by living in cages so small they can't even move, which takes away their right to run, bark, swim, and dig, which causes physical and mental distress, which can lead to constant pacing, barking, or even self-mutilating.
What brings us hope is that the demand for fur is gaining friction, with fashion brands and retailers increasingly shunning fur in response to changing consumer attitudes. Cities such as Los Angeles and countries like the United Kingdom have already enacted bans on fur sales and farming, recognizing the moral imperative to protect animal welfare. Scientific research continues to expose the environmental damages the fur industry causes through vast pollution and habitat destruction. Hawai'i is also considering banning fur.
We must demand a worldwide ban on fur farming, consolidating the efforts of countries and legislative bodies that have taken the initiative to abolish this right-breaching practice. Alternatives to fur exist; why don't we use them? You can make fake fur just out of wool, which is made from shaving sheep, which is actually GOOD for their health. Fur farms kill animals in the same gas chambers that the Nazi's used. If that doesn't say something, I don't know what does.

These animals can't even consent, meaning any animal can be plucked out of the wild, torture, stripped of their instincts, and potentially go insane, just for the pom-pom on top of your hat? Sign here to give these animals a voice. Every being should have the right to live as they please.
