I don’t expect this petition to do much because i'm only 14 but I would love to make a change.

Foxes have had a staggering decline in number by decreasing by 42% between 1995 and 2018. Many foxes die from road accidents and because their habitat is being destroyed. However, between 70,000 and 80,000 foxes are killed annually by gamekeepers. Fox hunting with a pack of dogs thankfully is illegal. Unfortunately, it’s not illegal to trail hunt which doesn’t actually involve a fox, they use a scent on a pre-determined route so that no foxes are harmed. Sadly, most hunting packs say they’re trail hunting when actually they’re not there is in fact a lot evidence to prove this. For example there have been several incidents where hounds have been killed on train tracks while ‘following a trail’ but who would lay a trail over train tracks? Also they claim the quads lay the trail but the exhaust fumes would cover it up. If we don't act to ban fox hunting then fox numbers will continuously drop and eventually they’ll go extinct. Hunting foxes for sport is barbaric and I don’t see why anyone would chase a helpless, terrified animal for fun.
