Every day in the United States, thousands of healthy male infants are subjected to non-therapeutic, cosmetically driven genital surgeries (circumcision) without their consent. The medical establishment routinely downplays the severity of this amputation, leaving parents entirely ignorant of the lifelong consequences they are authorizing.

We rightly recognize and criminalize the exact homologous equivalent of this procedure on female infants as a severe human rights violation. There is zero ethical, biological, or legal justification for using taxpayer dollars (Medicaid) to subsidize the identical physiological excision on baby boys.

The Science They Aren't Telling You
The foreskin is not a redundant flap of skin; it is a highly vascularized, densely innervated erogenous structure. The American medical system has systematically buried the devastating physical consequences of its removal:

They rely on the steady, taxpayer-subsidized stream of "elective" circumcisions to source their materials.

2. The Crisis of Consent and Abuse: Hospitals routinely fail to secure truly informed consent. They do not disclose the permanent loss of erogenous sensation or the severe risks of botched procedures that cause lifelong pain during urination and intimacy.

Worse still, by normalizing the permanent alteration of a child’s genitals without medical necessity, the state hands abusive parents a state-sanctioned tool for lifelong physical and psychological domination. I am a survivor of this exact systemic failure. After enduring a botched circumcision that left me with chronic, daily pain, and later surviving a violent sexual assault that required reconstructive surgery, my own abusive mother weaponized my circumcised status. She openly mocked my trauma and used the non-consensual alteration of my anatomy to exert psychological control. When the medical system normalizes infant genital cutting, it strips children of their bodily autonomy and leaves them vulnerable to lifelong trauma and manipulation.

It is time to align the United States with the rest of the developed world and modern medical ethics. We demand:

An immediate end to state and federal Medicaid funding for all non-therapeutic, cosmetically driven circumcisions on minors. Taxpayers must not subsidize infant genital cutting.
The implementation of mandatory, comprehensive informed consent forms nationwide that explicitly detail the permanent loss of fine-touch nerve receptors, the destruction of sexual biomechanics, and all financial ties to the sale or use of excised tissue.
