Ban election rallies- Election commission of India

The Issue

There is a huge surge of Covid-19 as a part of second wave. The political parties are indulging in election campaign despite Covid surge. This is leading to mass gatherings and  acting as a catalyst  for diseases spread . We urge election commission of India   stop public meetings, rallies of defaulting candidates, star campaigners or political leaders without any further reference.

And also  urge  EC to conduct single phase election rather than multiphase election to avoid repeated gatherings.

Example: With 234 seats  Tamil nadu carried election in single phase. Please emulate the same across nation for all election and by election.

People please chip in your point and add the necessary people you think can address this issue.
