Ontario is the only province in Canada that allows tail docking and ear cropping in dogs. This procedure is incredibly cruel for many reasons including:

• Unnecessary risk to the puppy 
• Mutilation of the dog's body for purely cosmetic purposes
• Both cropping and docking increases the risk for infection in the dog's ears or tail

There is no evidence that ear cropping and tail docking has any health benefits and serve only to please the dog's owner. 

Quebec has recently passed legislature banning this terrible practise and this makes Ontario the last province where tail docking and ear cropping remains legal.

This petition asks the Ontario government to ban ear cropping and tail docking in dogs for cosmetic purposes.
