Living in an apartment complex is supposed to offer a tranquil and peaceful environment for residents to come home to after a long day of work. Unfortunately, for those of us residing in Glendale, AZ, this peace is being disrupted by the increasing use of mopeds and quads within our apartment complexes.

The noise pollution generated by these vehicles is unbearable, especially for residents who work two jobs and return home exhausted, seeking rest and relaxation. Imagine trying to get a few hours of uninterrupted sleep, only to be woken by the loud revving of engines right outside your window. This is more than a mere inconvenience – it poses a significant challenge to our well-being and quality of life.

Furthermore, the safety hazard posed by these vehicles cannot be ignored. Apartment parking lots are not designed for vehicles traveling at speeds of 30mph. The risk of accidents increases, putting both pedestrians and drivers at risk. We have witnessed far too many near misses and accidents that could have been prevented if these vehicles were not allowed in the complex.

It's crucial that we address this issue promptly by banning the use of small dirt bikes and quads in apartment complexes here in Glendale. Doing so will not only reclaim our peace and quiet but also enhance the safety of our community.
